USA Dance Rocky Mountain Chapter sponsors and hosts many different types of dance events in the Denver region. Monthly social dances, an entertainment-oriented showcase of local dance talent, and Dancesport competitions.
SOCIAL DANCES
Partner dancing is a wonderful regimen of exercise and social interaction that
can help keep you healthy both physically and mentally throughout your life.
It's fun, engaging and you get to meet and befriend some wonderful people from
all walks of life. We will soon be hosting monthly dances featuring all the
best Latin, Ballroom, Swing and Country music open to the public and dancers of
ALL levels and experience.
DANCESPORT COMPETITIONS
Another aspect of partner dancing is competition. For the dance enthusiast who
wants to excel in one or more partner dance styles, competition is the place to
do just that. We currently host two competitions a year, one in the spring and
one in the fall. The third and largest competition in the area happens every
June - The Colorado Star Ball, for amateur and professional dancers from all
over the country.
SHOWCASE
Once a year, early in the spring, USA Dance Rocky Mountain Chapter hosts the
area's longest-running performance oriented event of Ballroom and Latin
dancing. Participants from the area's premier dance studios take part in a
day-long event showcasing their talent in serious, funny, dramatic and group
routines that range in experience levels from beginners to national title
contenders.
